During our opening session Prof. Dana Percec joined us from Timisoara, inviting all members of the Romanian American scientific diaspora to the upcoming Smart Diaspora Conference to be hosted by the West University of Timișoara. She is the director of the Council for Doctoral Studies at the West University of Timișoara, Romania and a Professor at the same institution where she teaches literature and British studies while also being a member of the West University’s Research Center of Gender Studies.
