Romanian Cultural Institute, New York: public-private cultural collaborations promotion

TeoStan

FOURTH CONFERENCE OF ROMANIAN AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS

VESTED IN WEAVING SOCIAL COHESION

Featured Speaker Opening Plenary Session, Dec. 2nd 2022

The third featured speaker during the conference opening session was the Dorian Branea, the Director of the Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI) in New York. He remarked on the tight-knit public-private collaborations in promoting Romanian culture while also featuring artistic entrepreneurs active within the Romanian American diaspora. This hybrid cultural diplomacy may have developed within particular conditions, especially during the pandemic but it has developed into a partnership by design, an integral part of the evolving concept of European cultural diplomacy, an intently permanent fixture of transatlantic relations.
