NURTURING RESILIENCE THROUGH THE PANDEMIC

THIRD CONFERENCE OF ROMANIAN AMERICAN PROFESSIONALS

June 5th 2021

Arts and Culture Council’s panel on promoting Romanian American artists and writers:

The second part of the Arts and Culture panel was chaired by the current host of the Romanian American Literary Circle (RALC), novelist, playwright, theater critic and director Domnica Rădulescu, Distinguished Service Professor of Comparative Literature at Washington and Lee University. The presentation centered on the book she co-edited with Oklahoma resident poet and translator Roxana L. Cazan, titled “Voices on the Move: Writing by and about Refugees” (2020). The book brought together several contributors including several Romanian American diaspora authors who each read live from some of their contributions in the book. The book was presented as the kind of collaborative deliverable that the RALC is created to promote.
